SAP AI Enterprise Solutions Architect, Supply Chain & Logistics

This is a long-term, remote contract position.

The SAP AI Enterprise Solutions Architect will strategically design and implement AI-driven SAP solutions to optimize supply chain and logistics processes using existing in-house technology and SAP S/4HANA architecture. The role requires deep functional expertise in SAP Supply Chain Management (SCM) modules to drive efficiency and innovation across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in leading the design and architecture of AI-enabled SAP SCM solutions aligned with business goals and industry best practices.
  • Translate complex supply chain requirements into scalable SAP configurations, leveraging current in-house technology and S/4HANA capabilities.
  • Drive innovation by identifying and integrating emerging AI/ML and automation technologies within the existing SAP landscape to enhance productivity and decision-making.
  • Ensure seamless integration of SAP SCM modules (MM, PP, SD, EWM, TM, IBP) with other internal and external systems to maintain a cohesive IT landscape.
  • Provide technical leadership for full lifecycle SAP projects, including blueprinting, development oversight, testing, and deployment.
  • Develop and maintain architectural documentation, solution roadmaps, and technical specifications, ensuring compliance with data governance and security standards.
  • Conduct performance analysis and optimization of SAP SCM processes, troubleshooting complex issues and guiding continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Experience:
    • Extensive experience (10+ years suggested) in SAP consulting and solution architecture, with a strong focus on Supply Chain Management.
    • Proven experience with SAP S/4HANA architecture and at least one full-cycle implementation.
    • Practical experience in applying AI/ML concepts and data analytics to solve supply chain problems (e.g., demand forecasting, inventory management).
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Deep functional and technical knowledge of core SAP SCM modules (e.g., MM, PP, SD, EWM, TM, IBP).
    • Familiarity with the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and integration tools (SAP CPI, APIs).
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value for stakeholders.
